Works for me but only in economy sadly. Business or prem economy does not seem to be discounted.

Edited to add that it does work but only in certain months for business class. Parts of May, Sept, Oct, Nov. Was able to snag 2 sju-mad seats for 17k each.

One thing worth noting is that if you don't have enough Avios to book, you won't see the discount. It's only shown when you click on one of the cabins and then are offered the various Avios & Money options.

Thanks for pointing that out! I transferred back to IB but still no discount. 
(Oddly the BA site said I'm not eligible to transfer to IB, even though I've done before. Had to pull from the IB site instead. Both accounts have active earnings.)

Spain account, silver via cc, did not get the mail and only saw the offer here yesterday afternoon.
When tried some dummy bookings, I got the 50% offer but availability was very limited for 2 tickets in Biz class, so did not bother at the end.
