Chances of Iberia canceling this Saturday's MAD-LAX flight?
I'm trying to help friends figure out the best way for their college age daughter to fly back from Granada in the next few days. This Saturday's MAD-LAX-PDX (Portland, Oregon) flight has reasonably priced economy tickets. However, when I check Expert Flyer's seat map for the MAD-LAX flight, it looks practically empty - perhaps a couple of dozen seats occupied. In view of that, is there a good chance the flight will simply be canceled? (FWIW), the return flight that day also has a very light passenger load).
Thanks very much for any help.

Thanks for the quick and useful reply. My friends decided to route her return differently, so she won't be on Iberia after all. But I very much appreciate the help.
