All about the Iberia A340-"200"

Hi FT,

I was looking for some flights to Latin America for next year, and a MAD-PTY flight served by an A340-200 popped up. Never saw a IB A340-200 actually (Not even one operated by another carrier, I think...).

What do you think, is it a mistake in the booking engine or do they actually have an A340-200?

Details here for Oct. 13, 2012:

Iberia – Flight 6345 10h 30m
Take-off Sat 1:50p MAD Madrid, Spain
Landing Sat 5:20p PTY Panama City, Panama
Biz | Airbus A340-200 (Wide-body Jet) | 10h 30m

Its just the nomenclature they use for their high Y / low J 340-300s

Iberia 342 - which is the exit row?

I'm flying SJU-MAD-SJU next week on the back of the bus (thanks boss)... I doubt I'm going to get an upgrade in either direction, seatguru is out of date, and iberia's website is horrible.

Which row(s) are exit rows on their 342?

OK... My wife and I are booked on this aircraft and have already been assigned seats 10A-10C and 6A-6C respectively for our SJU-MAD-SJU trip.

Since I'm a AA-Platinum, I'm able to get seat assignments and make changes even though our trip is in June. However, since I can't find a seating map for this aircraft, I have no idea if these seats are good or bad (next to bathrooms, non or restricted reclining, in-seat tray tables, etc.).

Can anyone please help and tell me where I can find an actual seat map?

Thanks!

AA-IB code share... what's an Airbus 340-200?

OK... My wife and I are booked on Iberia on this aircraft and have already been assigned seats 10A-10C and 6A-6C respectively for our SJU-MAD-SJU trip.

The seat maps that I've been able to find in Seatguru are for Iberia's A340-300 and 600 but no mention of the 200. I've "heard" comments that his aircraft is one with less Business and more Coach seats.

Can anyone please help and tell me where I can find an actual seat map?

Thanks in advance for any comments or help given!

I think you may have better luck in the Iberia Forums.

Off to the relatively new Iberia Forum for input by the experts there.

Thanks for your contributions

SeatMaestro here may be as out of date as Iberia and SeatGuru.

Got the answer... for anyone who cares, it's Row 24 on the 342 - not row 22 as shown on their website and seatguru.
