do any of U know if Iberia offers buy up upgrades when u check in
Its my first time on Iberia, I have flown other airlines that offfers upgrades for a fee, Ill be flying Mia to BCN. Thank U.

have never seen that they do it in an "active" way, as I have seen it in the USA by US-Carrier.

Does anyone know whether they do it? My gf is flying a MAD-JFK in Y and has been offered to upgrade to J for 430 EUR via email.

Well, if she has been offered a paid upgrade they do - but whether they offer counter upgrades, I have never seen that.

did they mention if paying the 430 euros would also mean accruing C miles(avios)?

No, you obtain the avios from the previous class (Y).

Are you sure? In my experience an upgrade made with cash gets you miles for the cabin you travel in, whereas an upgrade with miles only gets you the miles for the cabin you paid for.

I've been offered upgrade several times on short-haul flights.
It says very clearly in the T&Cs (which seems to be available in Spanish only )
that: fast track, lounge access, business check-in, additional luggage and Avios is exluded.
