Now at the Regency Hyatt downtown and was upgraded to suite with RC access, but the amenity selection here did include the tube of toothpaste, but no mouthwash. Tomorrow, Rosemont...

When I travel I use Hyatt for the most part. I have always gotten Aquafresh toothpast, but never seen mouthwash in the rooms. If I needed something I forgot to pack like Q-tips, sewing kits, etc., I make a call and it arrives.
I don't enjoy using Portico and bring Miller Harris, L'Occitane or Molton Brown from other chains or buy when on sale.

There was toothpaste at the Bellevue Hyatt when I stayed there this last week. I like this benefit; they could get rid of the Scope instead imo

My Two Cents
Hey All
Don't consider toothpaste to be a cutback when it isn't available
I see it as a promotional amenity extra and at select hotels
If they have it fine if not no big deal. Certainly not the Next Big Thing
I have seen some minor cutbacks nothing disturbing it is more hotel driven typically IMO
In the case of the Hyatt Regency La Jolla Regency Club I will not go back to the hotel at any price.
They are not fooling anyone with their stingy cutbacks over the past few years in their club offerings.
Interesting to note when I brought it to their attention they said they might consider a discount off a future stay
Not sure what they were thinking. Its embarrassing that it needed to be mentioned at all.
However I ended up going to Whole Foods around the corner on my final stay with them and got some exceptional fresh fruit for four dollars as the Regency Club took most of it away in the morning. Nothing like an Executive Lounge breakfast and you go to the local supermarket to supplement your dining
Both Mission Bay and typically the Manchester do a great job with breakfast in San Diego. I will be at Mission Bay next week I look forward to it
