Double/Overlapping Reservations

Greetings:

Here's what I'm trying to do:

I've booked a stay at a Hyatt Regency, two nights. I want to book another room under a separate reservation and give the key to a friend of mine. The reservation would run concurrently with the original reservation.

Will Hyatt credit me with two stays and four nights?

Thanks

Assume you are staying at the same property. You will only get one stay and two night, however you will get the points for all four nights.

Even getting points for the second room could be tricky in this case as they're on 2 separate reservations. I believe that you can get credit (points only) for up to 2 rooms on the same reservation.
