Using Rewards

Question, I'm going to be booking at a hyatt in seattle. I was wondering if using award stays affects whether or not the nights count as eligible stays toward platinum/diamond status.

What about if I just use my points for an upgrade, do I still get credit for the stay?

Thanks!

Award stay will not increase your stay count. However, if you pay for the stay and use points to upgrade that will count as an eligible stay towards status.
