Which Denver Hyatt for Girlfriend that Really Needs a Treat?

My college roommate is going through Chemo & I'm flying in to DEN for the night & want to take her to the cushiest, most pampering Hyatt there is on points. Will probably get a Dia upgrade, so who does it the best for a girl's getaway?

I would recommend the Hyatt Regency at the Convention Center. Ask if you can get one of their Cottonwood suites.

I just stayed at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center about a week ago, my second stay in 3 months.

This is a very attractive, contemporary styled hotel. The staff is consistently friendly and eager to be of assistance. Both times when I have checked in I have been met at I approached the check-in desks and asked if I would like to use the self-service machines. When I decline, the same person then escorted me over to a counter and checked me in themselves.

Both times I've stayed on the Regency Club floor. The club is quite large with plenty of seats. Debra, the concierge, is always cheerful. This is the only RC I have been in, however, where there is no hot item offered during the appetizer and cocktail hours. The cold items are very good and varied. The breakfast offerings were good, although one morning when I arrived at 8 a.m. they were completely out of pastries and had only one croissant left. They said they had no more.

My room was standard Hyatt, but attractive and comfortable. Even numbered rooms on upper floors have very good views of the Rockies.

The location is outstanding. You are 1 block from the 16th street pedestrian mall- a great place for walking, shopping, and dining.

I will certainly select this hotel for my future stays in Denver.

No doubt the Hyatt Regency at the Convention Center. I spent 3 weeks in Denver last year and stayed 2 of them at the Hyatt Regency and didn't regret it at all. The only Hyatt I have stayed in that I like better is the Grand Hyatt Seattle.

New to Hyatt

I normally hang out in the SPG forum, but with a quick stop coming up in Denver, I decided to try a stay at a Hyatt (my first ever to be honest). That said, I would like to contact the GM of the Hyatt Regency in Denver, and I was wondering if anyone has an email for Mr. Bucholtz. This information is widely available within the SPG program, but I am not sure with regards to Hyatt.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We were just there a month ago and the GM was John Schafer. The format for contacting people at Hyatt is first initial last [email protected], so it would be [email protected]

Presumably they haven't had a management change in the last month. I believe Mr. Bucholtz is/was GM at the Grand Hyatt Denver.

The Hyatt Regency is a great hotel. A perfect location, a gorgeous, contemporary hotel, and terrific staff. I'm sure you're really going to enjoy your stay.

typical response time?

I sent an email to Mr. Schafer a couple days ago and have not heard back. Is this standard procedure to email them? I know I generally get prompt replies back from SPG hotels, but again, I understand that different programs have different protocols and perhaps email is not the most efficient means here.

Any insight?

Thanks,
O

I have always received a prompt reply. The last two e-mails I sent and received were in the format [email protected] , but just in case there are variations, why don't you try again using [email protected]

You could also try sending a fax.

Stay at the HR Convention Center. Very modern, very clean, great views. Be sure to ask for a mountain view with a floor as high up as possible.

The best spa in Denver is on the edge of downtown - short cab - if you are interested. It is called the Woodhouse Day Spa.

Have fun!

Hi,

thanks for your help with tracking down the GM's email. It appears to be [email protected].

He was pretty helpful (even if he did misspell my name).

Happy Holidays everyone.
