You may consider calling US customer service. For special requests, I always get better results than calling customer service offices located outside the US. Good luck!

I agree with the advice of calling the US Customer Service. Many of us have received extensions thru February; some have reported March extensions.

BTW, no one else is able to use your FFN, unless it is at a property where you physically check them in.

No, the rule change is that you can give a POINTS-BASED AWARD away. You still cannot give away an FFN for somebody else to use........

Thank you very much guys,
just got an extension for february, which is absolutely great.
otherwise the 200Euro / 250 $ FFN would have been lost.
Customer agent apologized not to extend further..... i said "hey I AM the stupid customer who didnt get it"...

so thanks again to anybody.....

It seems easier to get an extension with a specific stay i.e. "Park Hyatt Philly for March 13, please," than a general request to use a FFN 'sometime in March somewhere.'

That is strange becuase I let my wife use my FFN stays under her name. I just entered her name on the reservation from the GP website. I didn't go with her to check in and the bill was in her name.

They are probably more lenient if a spouse is the one checking in. However they could technically have said that they needed to see your ID before she could get in the room. Probably adding her name in the "Comments" section of the reservation helped out as well........
