FFN Qualifying Nights based on?

FFN Qualifying Nights based on?
Just a quick question. Is the faster free nights qualifying nights period based on check-in or check-out date or both?
I have stay checking-in on 11/28, checking-out on 12/1. Will it count or not?
If not any work around on this? Should I book 11/30/-12/1 seperately and then check-out on 11/30 and check-back in, not putting my GP number into the second reservation?
