Rates That Do and Do Not Require Incidentals

I keep seeing the same type of questions posed here repeatedly, so I thought this thread might help organize this question into one post.

Why don't we use this thread to tell which rates do and do not require incidentals (pre-03/05) in order to get credit for a stay credit? It may help cut down on the number of questions about the subject.

I'll start with what I know:

RATES THAT DO NOT REQUIRE INCIDENTALS:
Hyatt.com
Standard or rack
Senior

RATES THAT DO REQUIRE INCIDENTALS:
Opaque (Priceline, Hotwire)
3rd Party (Travelocity, Expedia, etc.)

NOT SURE:
AAA
Government
Package and Promo rates on Hyatt.com
Entertainment

Please feel free to post what you know on the subject, and maybe this thread will answer a lot of people's questions before they ask the same things again and again.

Also, please feel free to post about the rates I'm not sure about.

Stay and weekend certificates require incidentals.

I think that AAA rates do not, I'll know for sure on Monday. However, since it is booked on the hyatt website, I would think it is treated no differently than a hyatt.com rate.

I have booked AAA rate online and by phone and had credits without incidentals so I don't think it requires indicentals.

Be careful with AAA rates, there is a long discussion in another recent thread. I personally had a problem with one about 1 year ago that had to be sorted out by Julia.

Government rates do not require an incidental charge in order to get credit for the stay.

saimike - this subject is mentioned (maybe not quite as concisely) in the FFNs sticky - as such I'm hesitant to create another sticky since there are already quite a few and come 2/28, this becomes a moot point anyways.

I recently booked a "holiday package" rate off of Hyatt.com & didn't get the points for the room (I had an incidental so I got stay credit). I took thezipper's advice and called the GP line & they gave me the points for the room price.
