FFN: What happens with a split payment?

Will credit towards FFN be earned on a stay if payment is split between AMEX and MC, with the majority being on AMEX?

I thought so, but somehow, I did not seem to receive FFN credit for two instances when I split the bill...

Worked for me OK last week. Had rooml&tax on Amex and incidentals on MC. All points and FFN half-credit posted. It did cause some confusion during checkout though.

azepine, did you just have them split it at checkout? Did you ask them to indicate a MC charge or did it just happen?

Well, my stay posted from yesterday, but not any FFN's as I went to try and redeem a FFN and the system said I didn't have any FFN's, which I would have if the stay counted.

Upon checkout, I divided the bill and paid for the room and some incidentals (parking, etc.) on AMEX and the lounge on MC.

What does it show when you view the stay details on the web?

Does it say Amex or MC or is it blank?

So, I called GP, and guess what: they said this stay was fine and that it is my prior stay in Hong Kong which is not showing MC payment!

I guess it was guaranteed to AMEX, but the bill was paid in full by MC...so I faxed her my MC statement and she said I should see the credit by tomorrow.

Cudos GP!!! ^

I provided two cards at check in. At check out I only asked to distribute charges the way I wanted and made sure the "Mastercard" line was there.
