Understood. But as I noted, it was not directed towards you in particular, just various posts that I have seen where individuals are being, again IMHO, penny wise, but pound foolish in the long run.
After all, we already have received notice of changes to the program with respect to lounge access at foreign properties, and also with respect to the decision to no longer be so generous in offering the GP bonus promotions with PLN stays -- at least as an initial matter from some agents -- and if those who really are concerned that Hyatt will pull a Hilton or SPG, and radically change elite benefits on such PLN stays, then they ought not to nickel and dime Hyatt on the incidental charges, and then expect the moon, that's all.
At a minumum -- at the hotel -- I expect that my room and smoking preferences be honored, as I can demand some sort of compensation later, if necessary, for not honoring the other rights currently to be accorded Diamond members thru the program on such stays, such as breakfast coupons and the Diamond amenity.

I really agree...if you continue to be soooo greedy, the end of Hyatt always bending over backwards will end. No one else provides these benefits--we should appreciate them and not always ask, ask and ask for more.
