Does offer order GP2000 work?
I find out from the hyatt.com that some hotels have offer code GP2000 or GP1000 for 2000 or 1000 bonus points. Did anybody get this points successfully? Do you think it will work with promotion code WINE and CIGAR together?
Also I have tried to input GP2000 for a hyatt that doesn't run this promotion at the days I want. But the reservation looks OK without any warning message? Do you think I will get the 2000 bonus points?

Yes the GP2000 promotion does work. However, even if you have the code in your reservation, the front desk clerk must input it into the proper field or you won't get the points. In other words, even if if shows on your itinerary it has to be inputed by the hotel. Not to worry though, as many have posted here, if after your stay you do not get credit, just call Gold Passport customer service and they will credit you and it will show instantly.
Yes, it's combinable with other promotions.
No, I don't think you will get credit if it's not a listed promotion, because the computer won't accept it when the hotel clerk tries to input it.

i don't even bother with front desk anymore concerning the GP bonuses, it's too much hassle and some clerks don't even know what the bonuses are.
so after a stay i just call up GP customer service and have them add it. in fact, a few times when i called to inquire about missing stays, they have added the bonus code without my asking, demonstrating again hyatt's exceptional service.

At the SF Grand Hyatt, I once had a front desk clerk tell me he had worked there 10 years and that in his experience, only 1 out of 50 guests ask about the GP bonus! If that's true or close to being true, then I can understand that a lot of clerks never figure out how to enter it. Also, I think a lot of clerks think it is automatically entered.

As a reminder:
On-line wholesale rates and prepaid wholesale packages are not eligible for Gold Passport credit. (This would include bookings made through Priceline, Expedia, Travelocity, Hotelres.com, etc.) You will receive five Gold Passport points for every eligible U.S. dollar spent for eligible folio charges not included in the prepaid amount. Rates booked through Hyatt.com are eligible for Gold Passport credit and the Offers Around the World Bonus.
The Offers Around the World Bonuses are not eligible when paying any of the other prepaid wholesale package rates. These bonuses do require you to pay an eligible room rate.

That's right. Don't even bother following the advice of our online Hyatt rep --just disregard it, and provide yet another reason to the folks at Hyatt Corporate and Hyatt Gold Passport why they should just do away with awarding stay credit on PLN stays, just like all the rest of the chains.
Congratulations on your input.
