Globalist @ Secrets?
New to this side of the forum. I tried looking at the stickies but didn't immediately see what I needed - if you know where it is, please just point me to it.
I am interested in understanding what the perks or both booking and staying at Secrets AI resorts are as a globalist? Will I get upgraded room? Often? not at all? Be able to get into some not-so-great-but-exclusive club area(s)?
Overall is good to know, but also specifically at Secrets in Mexico (I know there are several).

I just returned from a 5 night stay at Secrets Moxche. Used points for a standard Secrets redemption , forest view and was upgraded to an ocean front facing room with preferred club status. Prior to arriving there were plenty of upsell attempts and some kind of auction attempt to upgrade. The only thing I applied to was the last one wanting my arrival times and any dietary requests. I requested a complimentary Globalist upgrade to ocean view and preferred club at that time. There was also a world of Hyatt representative and separate area on site that was often helpful

Just completed my third stay at a Secrets Resort.
Globalist benefits:
- room on higher floor
- access to the miserable prefered club lounge
- access to a restaurant for breakfast that only prefered club members get
- 2pm checkout for free. But nothing later available
Disappointment:
- no real roo. Upgrade
- no prefered club room upgrade
- no butler
However I am just happy to be able to use points at an all inclusive where the food doesn't make me sick.
So as far as Secrets and Globalist status goes - just go in with the expectation of how you would be treated in the Marriott Bonfaoy program as a Platinum or Titanium elite.... pretty meh is typical

I did even worse at a Secrets stay some time ago. Only benefit was the preferred club access. And yeah, the preferred club was horrible, too. But not one, but two guests were nicking alcohol from it (one guy an entire unopened bottle).

I dont think the lack of anything else distracted from a great stay.
