MGM Co-Pay

I am looking to book a points & cash stay in Vegas but the points room seems to accommodate only 3ppl. Is it worth contacting the hotel to confirm whether they would be willing to offer the larger room (4 max occupancy rather 3) on same points but slightly increased co-pay? When comparing cash rates, the 3person rate is essentially $30 cheaper.

Any experience on this would be helpful, thanks.

With MGM hotels, there's no margin for the hotel to do anything with points stays. Just book the room you need or ask the front desk about upgrades at check-in.

FWIW, Points & Cash is always a bad deal - either you should spend all points (buying points during the 25% off sale if necessary) or all cash.

Points + cash is almost always a bad deal, but even more so in Las Vegas. Also, the hotels in Vegas are huge--no one will really notice an extra person in the room if it has 2 queens.
