Lifetime status tips?
Apologize if there's a thread, I searched "lifetime" and didn't see anyting on the first 2 pages. I'm new to Hyatt, first stay starts tomorrow. Will be doing lots of nights/$ in Q1. Any tips on lifetime earnings or quirks/traps to be aware of? Thank you!

Lifetime status is simple. Earn 1,000,000 Base Points which normally comes from $200,000 in spend. There are not different tiers of lifetime status, only Glob.

No tips necessary. Just spend $200,000 pre-tax.
Try to spend that $200k during promotions, even though the resulting points / award stays wont count for lifetime status.

Get a job that involves a lot of travel and for a company/clients that don't care much about your nightly hotel cost. Easiest way to get to $200k. A tip for those that don't currently have a "career" or are looking to change directions, and shooting for lifetime globalist.

Since skj already supplied the nearly definitive answer, do any other mere mortals joke about their progress toward lifetime? I chuckle with every $20 room charge. The on quirk not mentioned is that alcohol spend doesn't count in most locations.

I used to care but with the rate of devaluations and with my amount of travel, I don't worry about it anymore.
