Must be some lobbying efforts by Gild Hall to get all of those Globalists to redeem their certs and then not give them potatoes for breakfast.

Stayed at this property for 10 nights in December. All fine. No complains ecept for a tiny gym.

On the Globalist breakfast benefits, I much prefer the offerings and services of the cafe next door than the Butler services. For a start, I like my coffee and food warm/hot and better choices of breakfast options.

It's hard to understand why Gild Hall has remained at 15k vs. comparable properties (Park South, Herald Square, 50 Bowery) at 20 or 25k.

I have an upcoming trip and am trying to figure out the least of the evils between here, HP Times Square, and Hyatt Herald Square. I'm leaning towards here but still am not overly swayed.

I was hoping for a BRG at Gild Hall or the like but am yet to find it.

No longer a question you’ll need to ponder after today’s category shift announcement, unfortunately.

Of those four, I would avoid the HP.

It’ll come down to pricing (for me). If all were priced the same then i would view Centric > Gild Hall > Herald Square > HP.

Thanks for the prompt replies! Based on the feedback, I made a reservation here and will see if anything better arises.

Usually I'm with friends in the city and my hotel experience has been with Marriott.

Thanks for sharing. Is this new? Is the restaurant open?
When I stayed at this property in December, it was either the Butler choice or the cafe shop next door for gourmet breakfast sandwiches and coffee.

Just wrapped up a stay here... Did not try the globalist breakfast but they did say it was in the restaurant... Overall rooms are quite nice, new clean finishes. I would definitely return for the great rate and great location. The staff could not have been nicer which is rare in nyc.

We just finished a 3 night stay here. We were upgraded upon a relatively late arrival to the Empire State Suite. It had a very nice view of the Empire State Building from its private balcony and was a true suite, although it felt on the small side due to the long & narrow layout. The restaurant in the property is open but is apparently owned by a different entity than the hotel itself. Globs are given vouchers for breakfast which cover most of the items on the menu posted above (the Empire Benedict and the Grand are not on the Glob/voucher menu). In addition to the main items, we had both coffee and juice each morning. I was charged for a side order of bacon I had one morning. The food was good, and the service was fine although the restaurant wasn't very busy when we were there. Since we had a south-facing room we didn't hear any noise from traffic or the construction on 39th St. We thought the location was great being within walking distance of many sights and several subway stations. I had booked this stay during the "private sale" last month. It wasn't quite as inexpensive of some the January and February rates mentioned previously but still less than half the price of the Andaz 2 blocks away.

I stayed here for two nights for work this week and I was happy with it. Rooms are on the small side, which to be expected in NYC. What I really liked was how quiet it was (especially compared to the Hilton property I stayed at last time on Broadway). Being mid block between 5th and Madison, I didn't hear any avenue noise. I was also on the 18th floor and faced south. Breakfast was pretty good both mornings. You exchange the chit given at check in and are handed the Globalist Menu (shown below) which is substantially the same as what's posted upthread, but sans-prices. Pick what you want and comes with coffee and juice. I will also say that Centric potatoes > Gild Hall potatoes, before they switched to toast I'll also echo the above at the friendliness of the front desk and restaurant staff.

I stayed there recently on a weekday evening, rate was sub-$200, so pretty good. Got upgraded to one of the few suites, which was nice. Not my first stay. Hotel is perfectly fine, staff is friendly and pleasant. Good wifi, shower pressure, etc. I think it's a good deal for NYC, better value for money than the PHNY or the Andaz at the current rates well north of $500.
