I am trying to book only 2 nights. Any workarounds?

Book 10 nights and ask the concierge to change to 2. That sometimes works. however, you obviously need the points for 10 nights first.

Maybe pay for the stay? Laughable what people do to stay somewhere for free...

He is paying. Points are currency like anything else. You mean he's trying to use a currency within the rules of the program? What an ignorant and utterly useless thing to say. If points are "free" to you, then kindly give them all to me since you think they are valueless.

Pay as in cold hard cash and deploy the points at another property. The points are not valueless, but may be tough to use at certain properties. If you want to go there that badly, then the almighty dollar will rather easily solve the point usage issues.

They actually acknowledged that? It's been the on and off again rule for some time, but I'm surprised they'd openly acknowledge they game the WoH rules so blatantly. Corporate should really crack down. Oh wait, this is a corporate owned property . . . .

This nonsense doesn't belong on FT.

It seems like this property institutes a stupid long minimum stay for points, gets called on it every so often and reduces to 3 or 4 nights then when the spotlight is off goes back to an 8-10 night minimum,,,then gets called on it, wash rinse repeat.

Call the Hyatt concierge. They can book the 8-10 nights and take off the extra days without need all 200-250K points in your account.
