Borgata Atlantic City

I grew up in South Jersey minutes from Borgata casino in Atlantic City. Previous owners Boyd loved to comp rooms on week nights but when MGM took ownership with M Life zipo even with Pearl status. Also if you notice Borgata has no affiliation with the M Life-Hyatt program like MGM properties in Vegas. I'm upgrading to Gold Status soon anxious to see if they start comping even with light play like they do in Vegas. As of now I started using Hyatt Ocean Casino resort for stays! Chime in why you think MGM is so anti Hyatt free points stays at Borgata.

I have mlife Platinum through Hyatt (got it while a Diamond and it was renewed by mlife for a year). I used to get 2 nights free at the Borgata under the old system, but limited weekends.

Once Borgata switched onto mlife, I started getting way more than 2 nights free, and in addition I have the option for suites, plus weekends, all comped.

Keep in mind I've been to the Borgata all of once (for a night) in 2016 and once in March 2018.

So it's not so much gambling more tier status. Will be interesting to see if Gold starts unlocking the free rooms again with very little gambling.

Probably right. I do visit an mlife casino maybe every other month. I don't play a lot (I move around once I make a little money) but I do tend to average $75/hand blackjack play. I imagine that has something to do with the comps.

Deleted my comment since I got the Borgata confused with the new Unbound (old Revel).

I'm Mlife Plat for the same reason as you. My play is typically rated $50+/hand... but I've trashed my ADT by picking up offers and not playing much. Like any other Mlife property, their offers ARE tied to play, but it's likely that they haven't seen the real you off of two small visits, and you may be getting better offers out of a hope that you'll come back and be a big player. They aren't 100% in the Mlife system, despite what they keep saying. Many things are still done on legacy systems.

They are NOT a Hyatt-tied MLife property, so staff should probably move this to the gambling loyalty forum.

Sure it's not a Hyatt points-earning property, but any Hyatt Explorist or Globalist can get a free match to mLife Gold, which is useful at the Borgata: https://world.hyatt.com/content/gp/e...tnerships.html

Benefits include free valet, special lines, and access (though payable w/ comp dollars) to the Amphora Lounge: https://www.theborgata.com/casino/m-...-gold-trade-up

fwiw, I'm a MLife Gold strictly through my Globalist status. I rarely gamble, so have no meaningful MLife credits or player history.

Still, a few weeks ago, on just a days notice I booked a free Club King nonsmoking room for a Friday night online. Saturday night was soldout iirc, but had I wanted 2 nights, the same Sun & Mon nts were available on their online calendar.

everyone should begin to understand how casino properties work. doesnt matter what hotel affiliation like Hyatt or Starriott. thats why people are confused here. M life is a casino loyalty program. not a hotel loyalty program. hence, this thread and other borgata related posts under hyatt are inactive. hyatt has nothing to do with borgata, although you could use vegas mgm as a launchpad for tier match. funny to see OP talk about MGM being anti hyatt. why dont you try raising your theo.
