Points Posting Discrepancy
Can anyone help me understand why there is such a big discrepancy between the eligible spend listed on my PDF receipt that can be downloaded from Hyatt.com and the eligible spend listed on the mobile app?
Both of these taken this morning at the same time (now). Neither one makes any sense apart since at the very least I think my eligible spend should be $600 (at $300/night before taxes and fees) if not higher. The all in total was $915.47 before a $200 room credit. What am I missing before I go to Hyatt and try and claim what I think are missing points?

You might not earn points on the "room credit". So, $715, less taxes less resort fee less non-qualifying gift shop gets you to $591? (2955/5)
From a different direction, you basically earned for 2 nights at $600 and you wouldn't earn points on spend covered by the $200 allowance. So you'd be a whopping 45 points short.

- 600 room rate
- 60 resort fee
- 103 meals before tax and tip (guesstimate)
- 33 gift shop before tax (guesstimate)
- -200 less the package credit
Okay, so I'm off by five bucks. Perhaps you're a big tipper and my guesstimate for meals is high. Or perhaps they don't award points on certain types of meal purchases (such as beverages).
Still, it's in the ballpark and I think the hotel's posting is accurate.
You can always send a PM to "World of Hyatt Concierge" here on FT and ask them to look into it. They'll do so with great pleasure, accuracy and courtesy.
