I need to be in Las Vegas in April for four nights. Was seeing great rates using my mLife promotion and wanted to see if I could get the Citi Prestige rep to book it. Seems like there has been mixed experiences in this thread and others.
Called and got a great agent - very competent. I explained what I wanted to do and he put me on hold while he checked. I figured he'd come back and say "no" but he didn't.
We called Vdara and booked the standard mLife promo rate that averaged at $187 a night. We got this booked... but then I realized this wasn't as good as the mLife special offer I had in my account which had an average rate of $156 and also had a $50 credit valid at Vdara and Aria (I am not clear if this is a casino credit, F&B credit or folio credit).
The Citi Prestige agent then called me back and together we called the mLife "VIP" team. On this call we have the special offer code and were able to get the discounted rate.
So, lessons learned
1. Do your research on "standard mLife rates" that come up vs the ones featured in the "Your Exclusive Tier Discount" section.
2. Have the Citi Prestige rep call the mLife booking line with you on the line so mLife can verify you (DOB, Address, Email etc) and give verbal permission to talk to the "travel agent"
3. Have your mLife number handy
4. Have your CVV code handy - the mLife booking people will need this and the Citi prestige agent does not have access to this
5. Citi Prestige agent will want to get a copy of the booking emailed to the [email protected] email address
Seemed to work... I just got the confirmation.

I've had fantastic success getting the phone-Prestige concierge to book Hyatt Member Only rates, random discounts, corporate rates, etc. I've never had a case where there was an online bookable rate that they could book.

Incredible post with perfect detail!! Not sure why the mod suggested this go in the World of Hyatt forum as using Citi 4th night at MGM properties absolutely warrants its own thread. Very timely and useful for my own 4 night Mlife trip in March...thank you for the great detail as it assisted greatly today!!

So while this may work for some it’s not a slam dunk.

mLife rates are not supposed to be eligible - this has been true since the inception of 4th night free. Very surprised that some people have managed to do it.

What's odd about the "VIP line" anecdotes is that mLife rates are not even eligible for in-house reservations. This is easily verified by calling in directly to any given mLife property's in-house reservation team; they will say they cannot book using mLife rates. Similarly, if trying to make a special type of booking - e.g., guaranteed connecting rooms, etc. - even the mLife member services team will say mLife rates are not eligible for those reservations. So I don't even know what "VIP line" people are calling to try to get it done.
