Hyatt Place Bloomington/Normal - Opening

Located on Broadway Avenue, Hyatt Place Bloomington/Normal is centrally positioned in vibrant Uptown Normal. The hotel is adjacent to Uptown Station’s various public transportation services, enabling an ease of access in and around central Illinois. Nearby attractions include the Illinois State University (ISU) art gallery, the historic Normal Theater, an array of specialty boutiques, a buzzing restaurant and nightlife scene, and the always fun Children’s Discovery Museum. Additionally, Hyatt Place Bloomington/Normal will greatly expand business travel options for visitors to Country Financial, State Farm Insurance and Advocate BroMenn Medical Center.

Is it already open? If not, when?

One should also note that this is Bloomington ILLINOIS not Indiana (home of Indiana University).

Sorry about the confusion. The convention here in the forum is when GPC posts that a property is "opening", it usually occurs the day that it actually opens. Announcements of "possible" future properties are usually marked as such - usually I edit it with the year that it's supposed to open - most of this type of announcements are for full service properties and not HP and HH properties.

Last night when I was creating a link in the property index thread, I thought that it was IN and not IL also.

Hyatt Place Champaign definitely is a blessing, looking forward to seeing how its I-74 counterpart stacks up. Also, once an Illini, always an Illini!

Just got back from two nights there. Nice, functional hotel if you are in the area for business, but nothing more than that.

Gym has 4 machines - 2 treadmills, 1 bike and 1 elliptical, plus free weights. Breakfast was yogurt, cereal, one big fruit salad bowl, muffins and a few hot dishes.

Staff was friendly. Rooms are typical Hyatt Place rooms. Clean. Good location with restaurants within walking distance
