Neat trick, 65 days into the year. What am I missing?

Can't earn status for more than one room a night, but you can earn points if multiple rooms are booked under the same reservation... I imagine that is what Ancien Maestro meant.

More like... booked but not stayed (all nights) yet I imagine....

Was thinking about looking into P&C for PH in SGN and REP, but if I have to pay the 20% or so tax on top of the $100, it affects the math a bit. Anyone have any experience with these hotels or know what to expect?

I've had to pay tax/service on the cash portion in ICN and CGK.

The (hopefully correct) official info was that if the standard rates are indicated inclusive of tax and service, then the P&C rate is also inclusive, but it tax and service are not included in the standard rates, then they will be added to the cash portion of the P&C rate.

Both Saigon and Siem Reap list their rates exclusive of T&S.

Just got a last-minute points+cash reservation at Hyatt London the Churchill.
£92 + 12500 points booking straight into a Regency Suite King. Excellent value.

Also booked at the Churchill for next year. They didn't have C&P available. So emailed hotel and they loaded into system and then I was able to book thru central reservations.

I recently called HGP to book a C&P for early 2015. Was told by the agent that there was no availability as "Hyatt have yet to decide whether to offer Cash & Points and the Elite Rate" beyond this first trial year (2014)."

Sounds like an agent inventing some excuse to get rid of me since there was no inventory loaded yet, but I thought I'd post here and see if anybody else has heard similar.

Maybe, but I suggest that your and SF1K's post deserve direct attention - is this an experiment? - is it an experiment at the individual hotel level? Sounds as though it may be - as with SF1K's case - that it's only a matter of the property loading the rate on an ongoing basis - albeit a shaky basis for an ongoing program. Any corroboration here would be most useful. And Gold Passport Concierge, peteropny or Ambassador 777, what do you know, or can you ask the intent at the policy level? Thanks, and thanks to SF1K and craigthemif for the reports. :)

The C&P is bookable next year. My elite rate has not been extended past this year. No idea whether it will be.

18 nights credited for stays this year so far. I've got another 70 nights booked for later on the year. We have 44 nights this summer booked in California/Hawaii, 3 nights booked for a friend in Maui, and the balance I'm bridging over Christmas break to be credited for next year's Diamond qualification. Each night is credited under T&C towards status. I don't have any multiple room bookings. Although, I may break up a few of the reservations to split into my wife's Diamond Challenge this summer if she qualifies.

The reason I booked these rooms was the HGP suite points upgrade deadline to book was January 7th, 2014. I used up all the DSUs, and all the points in my account for HGP suite points upgrade. I have 3 DSUs remaining to be applied this qualifying year, which I plan to bridge into reservations the following summer. If my wife qualifies for the Challenge, I'll have another 4 DSUs for next year under her name as well.

We've also stayed at Fairmont 12 qualifying nights this year, and I've got 6 suite upgrades with FPC (my wife and I both are FPC Platinum members), potentially another 30 suite nights by February 28, 2015 we need to burn up. It's a heavy travel year to try and use up all of the benefits.

There is a plethora of points in my account. P+C will come in useful with the DSUs for the following summer.

would be wonderful if there was a master thread of properties not participating in C+P. I have called regarding PH Maldives for several dates and have not seen any availability. have they decided to not offer C+P at all? any other properties where this appears to be the case?

I don't know anything official but do know that the P&C and myElite rates are completely at the discretion of the property. I think that the 2014 official line is so that they may discontinue one or the other (or both) if "lots" of properties protest or do not participate at least somewhat consistently. Of course there are properties that have gone ahead and loaded availability for 2015 already. I support this policy where the majority of properties offer them a majority of the time. I would be very frustrated if very few properties participated regularly.

My personal feeling is that the rates will continue with perhaps some tweaks to the T&Cs.
