Pros:
  • Upgraded to a "Premium Suite" the morning of arrival in app - this is just a big room with a sitting area on one side and then a bed - only 1 TV
  • Room generally looked nice
  • Furniture in sitting area was pretty comfortable
  • Hotel lobby smells amazing - about as stereotypically hotel as I could imagine
  • Breakfast served in restaurant was a la carte and pretty tasty (lemon pancakes) - was never told about any limits for Globalists
  • Front desk addressed me by name over the phone
Cons:
  • Bad check-in from an agent in training that seemed put out and confused
  • Welcome letter given had incorrect restaurant hours information and check-in agent was unable to understand or answer my question about why the breakfast restaurant says it opens at 11 (it doesn't - the sheet is just wrong)
  • Terrible pillows - hard as rocks
  • Bed had okay mattress but thin covers and slimy silky sheets (not soft)
  • Major drainage issues - my shower just didn't drain at all - ended up standing in several inches of water - Engineering did come quickly and pour something down the drain
  • TV had Enseo system like Marriott, but it had been disconnected from the Internet so that apps didn't work in order to lead people to use Chromecast
I was sad that I didn't like this property more.

Check-out was equally as awkward at check-in. Many associates had "In Training" badges. Forgot to include some pictures:

Had a great stay at the CGHR on a Cat. 1-4 free night. Was upgraded to the Presidential Suite. on floor 14. This is a 2 story 1800 foot suite. Huge. The shower had 2 rain showers. Check-in was seamless. The only downside was poor service at breakfast. Ignored for 15 minutes, I gave up and got the buffet which was uninteresting. Don't let previous posts keep you from staying here.

Had a great stay here as a Globalist a few weeks ago. Upgraded to a large one-room suite. Breakfast quality was exquisite, no dollar limit. Overall, would definitely return, as it's very convenient from Miami's airport!

Thank you for sharing your feedback, how far is this property from the airport? Is there god dining nearby, have an overnight layover with family 6pm arrival, depart at 8am.

4 miles but 16 minutes now per Google maps @11:46 am eastern; could be worse with traffic.

very doable but not quite an airport hotel.

much closer to fine dining. I liked Zitz Sum, which is a half mile away. Probably places a little closer too.

ZitSum is excellent. Although I think the top two sections of the menus are better.

Does anybody have an email to contact the hotel? I couldn't find anything on Hyatt website.

Just had a short overnight stay here, very comfortable.

I was upgraded to a “Premium Suite) (a very large single room, but with the floor space of a true suite) with a balcony. It’s obviously dated, but the building and the Coral Gables area is quite charming by Miami standards.

Front desk was knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. It’s 7min further from MIA than the Hyatt Miami airport, but quite a bit nicer. I’ll probably use this hotel in the future when I want something relatively convenient to the airport.

Not sure if it's outdated but in April 2022: [email protected] was the Assistant Operations Supervisor.
