Very disappointing. And I am puzzled that a HR would become a DT rather than a Hilton after the renovations they made.

I hope Hyatt is planning for another property in Montreal, otherwise this is a hole in the portfolio. And SLH will not help in that respect.

DoubleTree is where Hilton's go to die. The Hyatt Regency Montreal would have made a nice Hilton and put a Hilton back in Montreal (the Hilton Bonaventure left the brand a few years ago).

I was a little disapointed that no compensation at all is being offered. Stayed at this regency about 6 weeks ago and the remodel of the rooms was great.

It was clearly remodeled to a Hyatt design so no idea why they are changing brands after all that work.

Really disappointed as well that Hyatt is losing this property. Breakfast was pretty good. Nice pool as well.

RIP Hyatt Regency Montreal ! It's a great bargain (esp. in summer) at 8K a night or 12K for RC rooms! I'm surprised it's not a Cat. 3 (12K/ 17K!) I bet it will cost 50K Honors points per night (40K si on est chanceux!)

I look forward to seeing them in small claims court. No offer for anything to cover airfare or the canceled hotel. Offer to pay for lodging at the prevailing doubletree rate.

Hyatt really is asleep at the switch. They’ll be paying at around $2500 in my case. Pm if want to collaborate.

Not sure what you think your case is and what you think Quebec courts will do about it. Unless the hotel cancelled your confirmed cash rate, Hyatt's lawyers should find it really easy to get a court to agree that they don't have to pay for award nights at non-Hyatt hotels.

Whether Hyatt is providing good service or not is a matter between you and Hyatt...

I stayed about a month ago for the first time. High caliber staff, including well appointed lounge and terrace. Room recently remodeled. RIP, indeed, HR Montréal.
