Visited daughter last December and stayed at Jerusalem Hyatt. Very nice property, but business was off by so much that they had whole wings of the hotel closed. Somewhat busy on weekends, but only 50 - 75 rooms rented (of 500) during the week. Regency Club closed. Breakfast was still served, and was included in any room rate, as is the custom throughout Israel. Breakfast buffet was omelets, rolls, cheeses, and salads - really quite nice. Front desk staff was very helpful, in that they served as Regency Club concierge in booking tours, plane tickets, etc. We paid rate $85 (US dollars) per night through travel agent, and were upgraded to mini-suite for the 7 nights we were there. Property is in the Mt. Scopus neighborhood, across the street from Hebrew University. Downtown was a cab ride of about $10, if I remember correctly. In December, everyone there was VERY glad to see American tourists. With the continuing conflict in Israel, I'm sure that status hasn't changed.
