Multi stays @ separate hotels on same night
OK, Here’s what I’m thinking…reserve and physically check-in i.e. mess-up the bed at two separate Hyatt Place hotels, on the same day, which are located approximately five miles from each other, but only sleep in one. Will I get credit for two different stays, despite them occurring on the same calendar day? I’m only in the area for a one day at a time, but the prices are so cheap that the economics make sense for doing a mattress run.
You advice is appreciated.

You cannot get stay credit in 2 different properties at the same time. My suggestion: if you are doing mattress run, you may do Property A - B -A which is legal and hence, eligible for the credit stay and/ points. Hope it helps

I have received stay credit for stays that over lap. I usually stay at the Irvine Hyatt for extended periods. Sometimes I want to run down to San Diego for the weekend so I'll grab a Hyatt for a night or two down there without packing up and checking out. You can get credit for both. However, you will have to call customer service because the first stay to post "blocks" the other from posting. A quick call to customer service gets it posted though.

I guess I dont get it - why would Hyatt really care if you're staying two places or not. Its all revenue to them; if you're interested in mattress runs, you're going to hit your goal one way or the other.
