Bed Type request on Profiles

I wonder if there is any way Hyatt could put a "no preference" option under bed type requests. Some people actually do not have a preference, and in some cases, such as in Waikiki, putting in the wrong type, could prevent you from getting a better upgrade.

For example, in Waikiki there are zero king beds in the ocean front category. As a matter of fact, I seem to recall reading here that only 25% of their rooms have king beds.

I believe the same situation exists at the Grand Cypress - there are more rooms with 2 doubles than with kings.

Thoughts?

The option is there but does not affect reservations made before the options are changed. I changed my profile a month or so back but my last two stays still had the preference from my old settings.

Great!!! I haven't looked in a few months since I changed my smoking preference.

Must go change it

Thanks for letting me know. I rarely look at it.

ETA: Well, apparently when I mentioned to a cust. svc rep that I could never get "smoking" removed from my preferences, which she said she would do to make sure it took, I must have also changed my bed type to no-preference, because that's what I have there now.

Oh well.... next time I'll look before posting
