Payment...

I have a question...

In order to receive Gold Passport points, is it true that the member needs to pay for ALL eligible charges using a credit card under their own name?

It says in T&C that:

In order for a Hyatt Gold Passport member to receive Hyatt Gold Passport points, the bill for eligible charges must be in that member's name and member must personally pay for all charges. A member's account number cannot be used by anyone else in order to accrue Hyatt Gold Passport points, benefits, promotion credits or upgraded membership status.

The reason why I ask this is that today the hotel reception told my friend who booked advanced purchase rate that it doesn't matter whose credit card the payment is under.

Another question I have is whether it is strictly ALL charges. What happens if I pay the advanced purchase rate, and someone else pays for the incidental costs for drinks, food, etc, using their credit card?

Booking should be under your name and you can pay using any CC or cash. I sometimes do booking under my wife's name but pay using my CC and she gets all points and bonuses.

I use what cash I don't need, then card it. If the room is under your name and your number, you get the points, Hyatt doesn't care who pays as long as someone does, regards bkkrop
