Just made a booking on cheaptickets for a hotel for 2 nights in January. Coupon worked but the same hotel was not available on traditional hotel engines such as hotels.com or expedia - should I be worried it is overbooked - is that possible?

But is that how hotel room allocation works with OTAs? My initial thought was that cheaptickets has inferior inventory management that doesn't get updated as often as everything is fed centrally to the OTAs. Either way, if the hotel responds to me that they are overbooked I will get refunded from cheaptickets (I assume) and (I assume again) they will provide me with some sort of voucher.

There was a code going around that was rather good and directed you to easytobook.com but would error out on ETB ...but after some digging it was discovered it would only work on the cheaphotels.nl site, which was/is related to ETB.

Does Gala have preferential agreements re: resort fees? That could clinch a deal - but I'm not at all sure this is the case vs. Dhr or Otel (?) Let's see if someone here could answer from definitive experience - now we go really "advanced knowledge"!
