Me too. Unless someone has kids, I don't know why they would subject themselves to CC. IMHO, everything about Westgate is superior to CC.

I've only been in Circus Cirus once and it was awful...looked very old and filled with very younger children.

any recommendations for a good steak dinner on the strip? prefer to keep it below $60/person, if possible.

Also question: Will prices usually go down? Will there anything become available very cheap in the same week or the day before? It is the weekend after CES. Any idea what would happen to the prices usually?
Try this: http://www.mgmresorts.com/RoyalOffer2015/

Don't need to be a Crown and Anchor Member...used it three times over the past two weeks (three conferences) and never had a problem. It may not be valid on weekends though...and prices are always more expensive Fri and Sat nights.

Looks like the Crown and Anchor $150 RC for Vdara worked over at Javier's in Aria...I only had some small food and bev charges and the tip so it definitely credited over there. However, since Vdara only has the Market Cafe, ViceVera and Starbucks and has Aria in it's tagline (Vdara Hotel & Spa at Aria Resort) perhaps it is a special case...

The steakhouse at Circus Circus is one of the 10 best in Vegas. Surprisingly, as everything else at Circus Circus should be avoided.

It is fun to bring people through CC then end up there.

Resort fees...

Don't get me started, but be informed BEFORE you book your reservation. Some attorney general would/will have a field day going after sites that don't display the resort fees at booking.

Not saying you should use this as a booking site, but i4vegas.com does a good job of displaying resort fees for every hotel where it's charged, so use it as an information source if nothing else.

Total rip off, resort fees, but be informed and make your purchase with that knowledge.

I believe you can use stuff at Aria anyways when you stay at Vdara. It's same with Signature, you can use stuff at MGM Grand regardless of what the customer reps tell you. I've received so many different answers, it's just stupid.

Last couple years it's been on and off. There might be a half a month to a month gap, so it's YMMV. If your dates are set I suggest you book a backup. Maybe find something at www.mycheapvegas.com for now and if it does pop up just cancel and rebook.

Yep dates are set - flights are booked. It's part of bigger trip around USA from Australia.

Thanks. Joined M-Life - is this how you get notified?

It used to be the best maybe 5+ yrs ago but then the original crew retired, the place got over publicized and authenticity, quality and consistency went down as they shifted focus to mass market.

I wanted to update everyone and pass on information (since I got such great deals on this forum). My wife and I stayed at the Bellagio Oct. 18-20 under the "Royal Offer 2015" promo for $199/night, which we were never questioned about. (We wanted to stay somewhere nice for a child-free getaway.) We checked in and used the $20 tip trick to get upgraded to a Bellagio Suite. I also used the free Cirque Du Soleil offer (post #1807) to see KA on Monday. Upon checking out the $200 resort credit was already posted to the account. (We used the entire credit for a high-end meal at Prime Steakhouse.) Everything worked flawlessly. Thanks to the everyone and their information.

Just a quick heads up for anyone doing odd number of nights and going to use the Royal Offers. www.mycheapvegas.com has some excellent 1 night deals for Aria and MGM Grand. Aria one is 2 buffets a day, that would best be used for weekends since it doesn't have blackout dates, and MGM has $50 credit with a bunch of random crap with it.

Define "always". I just rebooked a 6 night stay in the cheapest Westgate Las Vegas room during CES. The price fell from ~USD 2,100 to ~1,700. This includes tax and about USD 50 for twelve breakfast buffet coupons, but not the resort fee.

So I was able to reduce the price to almost USD 300 per night. I wouldn't call that cheap. And LMT Club doesn't even offer the Westgate during that time.
