Buyer Beware
While the Mandalay Bay is a terrific hotel, be aware that a number of us who had reservations for a last week had our reservations cancelled and rebooked at MGM. We were given an e-mail two days prior to arrival. I have sent a letter expressing my dismay, but have yet to receive a reply. The moral is that you may get a great offer; however, it may not be honored...

Update
I need to update my complaint about the Mandalay Bay not honoring my reservation. Today, I received an apology and generous compensation offer. Mandalay Bay deserves accolades for doing the right thing and I just wanted to set the record straight...

Is the fly back free deal really worthwhile? I've heard horror stories...
This is good to know however. My gf and I are attempting to set up rendezvous at cheap destinations across the United States. She works in CT, which is very expensive for me to fly to, with tickets costing the same amount to Vegas. If we could meet in vegas for the same price, we would be willing to do that.

I would wager that with the three-night room rate Mandalay Bay's travel agency (Archer) will charge to redeem the free airfare certificate, it would be cheaper to book the flights and hotel oneself. Then again, I need a FT'er to prove me wrong on this one.

Had this promo in April; totally NOT worth it imo. And for those who think Mandalay Bay is so great I would disagree based on my stay there this last year. I find other hotels in LAS to be much better.

Don't know anything about the value of the current promotion, but my DH and I just had a wonderful stay there for our anniversary. The room was big and comfortable (they told us it had recently been renovated.) Loved the spa and all of the meals we had there were top-notch. Everyone treated us so nice! We'll definitely be going back.
