(Fare Gone) $8.50/night - Sofitel Maadi Towers - Cairo - May to Sept

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned here yet as it's been on most of the bargain forums for a couple of days:

4* Sofitel Maadi Towers in Cairo, $8.50/night (£6/night) from May to September this year, to get the low price you have to select "Triple (sleeps 3)".

http://www.octopustravel.com

This is the same site that had the long standing Zurich hotel offer.

I would be a bit careful going there at the moment with the old Muhammad cartoons brewing up trouble in Europe and elsewhere, but I'm sure it'll be forgotten about by then.

I believe the rate is now gone. I have been trying to book rooms for various dates between May and September on both the US and the UK sites.

Make sure you select "Triple (sleeps 3)" on room type to get the rate.

hmmm, it shows "On Request" for confirmation type. I am taking my daughter to Egypt in May and this is a better deal than using my Hilton points. hopefully it works. If not, I won't get too upset or sue them or anything like that.

There's a few others... probably the main reason is they all have a UK bias.

I just realized that - when the site kept showing a 400USD rate

Cheers

Booked a week in June for $59.59 prepaid.
email confirm came in 5 minutes,
able to print hotel voucher from account.

It works. Cancel terms seem to be small or zero

With my stay in Zurich the following week
through octopus, June is getting interesting !

THANKS OP :-: :-: ^ :-: :-:

yes, but IIRC there was also an "amendments" section
below what you posted
indicating one night's fee in any circumstance.
In any case, it is small or zero= neglible to me.
