Booking.com has cancelled the booking and requesting 72 a night to keep the reservation.

Worth a try.
I'm on the lookout for Thailand & Vietnam 'special rates' in November. Unlikely to find them but having a look.
Wist I knew how to write a screener to drag prices off websites !

I have to filter out results in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and China from the scrapers because there are too many cheap properties. With non-chain 5* properties in the $30 range it's tough to automate finding good deals.
