But out of my 6, 2 no longer shows $40 USD anywhere, so I've cancelled though
Now I'm debating what to do with the duplicate nights in one account
Oh well
Also, I guess to be safe, we should do 3 separate check-in/check-out/bills on 3 different CC, under 3 accounts
Hope hotel can do that for me, while leaving us actually in the same room

How do you claim the $40?
I finished a stay check out on Aug 17. Got an email today Aug 20th to "claim" the USD 40 reward. However the link inside the email simply brought me to booking.com site. After logging in, I still do not see HOW to claim the reward.
I already have linked Visa card in my profile that is selected to receive reward. However it seems to only related to referral reward. Currently my profile shows 0 reward is available.
The reservation for the stay that earned the rebate can no longer be opened.
So exactly how one "claims" the $40 rebate?

Didn't see this mentioned; a search didn't return any hits. . . but, per a large display in the DFW (D) Admirals Club, you can get to the deal with the easy-to-remember link of www.booking.com/club40
(Note: I'm not suggesting the deal is still valid - just reporting what I saw.)

Booked in July.
Stayed 14th Aug (one night). Paid in cash at check-in and did not need to show any cards to the hotel.
Got email on 17th Aug asking me to put card number into booking.com
$40 received to card 21st Aug. I used a Mastercard despite the warnings.

That is odd, and I wondered about it. I was going to use a card that gets double points on travel to pay, and put a card that doesn't get rewards into my profile to be refunded to. Sounds like it would have worked....

I'm a person who currently does foreign spending in cash wherever possible, since I exchanged thousands of GBP to other currencies before June 2016 and therefore am saving 20-30% over using a card at this time.
I suppose if I had a EUR card and bank account, I would use it, but I don't.
