Hmmm, this is very nice as it seems to include chain hotels. This is ripe for the picking. Looks like it requires payment in an Amex card though, which will add in a forex fee- but still I think I can use this. I should also note that 20 EUR these days is barely $23 USD not $25. It just worked for me. For some reason got hung up by trying to enter text into the "comments" box but once I deleted that it gave me the 20 EUR discount on an IHG chain property- and their price was significantly lower to start with. Thanks again

Can't say I am surprised but this doesn't work on stays under 20 Euros. Obviously didn't expect to be paid to stay in a hotel but a free stay would have been nice.

YMMV but it saved me close to half the BAR available through IHG and the other OTAs between special pricing and the code discount. Surprised me too as I would never have even thought to check an American Express Travel site thinking their prices would not be good. I think for IHG at least there is more of a chance of substantial discounts on North American properties from European sites because they are not subject to BRG due to use of a different currency. Now let's see how long it takes for the Vegas and Bangkok people to go to town on this.

While booking some Vegas nights, I noticed it said you had to cancel 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid penalty.

it is working again, just booked 4 more 1 nights stay, and paid 2 Euros for the Hotel Mate in Vienna including breakfast:)

I just used this discount (thanks!) for a night in Phnom Penh. Can someone please explain the "Serviceentgelt" part? Is this something that I stand to be charged extra at the hotel, €15 per person? If it is then this will be more expensive than booking on Expedia... And I'm also concerned that there's no line showing the tax amount, or indicating that it is included...

It is still working. I just made 3 separate bookings.

I have taxes (Steuern) shown in a separate line.

My service charge (Serviceentgelt: 15 EUR p. P.) line shows 0,00 €.

Therefore I doubt the Serviceentgelt has anything to do with taxes.

In any case, I was issued hotel vouchers via email for presentation during check in.

In the vouchers, no prices have been listed. They also state "This is a prepaid reservation, payable by Orbitz. Only payment for additional services, incidentals and extras to be collected from client."

you dont have to pay a service charge, it says 15 euros pp but than you see at your bill 0.
So dont worry you just pay what your final bill tells you.:)
just checked in today with the voucher and thats it.
