Amex Travel German website

https://reise-services.americanexpre.../arc.cfm?tab=h

use promo code "jetztamex"

gives you 20 EUR off which is about 25 USD

Hmmm, this is very nice as it seems to include chain hotels. This is ripe for the picking. Looks like it requires payment in an Amex card though, which will add in a forex fee- but still I think I can use this. I should also note that 20 EUR these days is barely $23 USD not $25. Still useful for cheaper/chain properties. Thanks OP. Never would have found this one!...

It just worked for me. For some reason got hung up by trying to enter text into the "comments" box but once I deleted that it gave me the 20 EUR discount on an IHG chain property- and their price was significantly lower to start with. Thanks again

Can't say I am surprised but this doesn't work on stays under 20 Euros. Obviously didn't expect to be paid to stay in a hotel but a free stay would have been nice.

Depends on the hotel.

YMMV but it saved me close to half the BAR available through IHG and the other OTAs between special pricing and the code discount. Surprised me too as I would never have even thought to check an American Express Travel site thinking their prices would not be good. I think for IHG at least there is more of a chance of substantial discounts on North American properties from European sites because they are not subject to BRG due to use of a different currency. Now let's see how long it takes for the Vegas and Bangkok people to go to town on this.

Anyone want to read the German fine print for my hotel choice and tell me if the reservation would be fully refundable and deadline for cancellation?

I don't trust Google Chrome Translate for the info.

PM greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Mission accomplished.
