What to do in Macau?

My wife and I are not gamblers. Is the city worth a walk around? What is there to do in Macau besides the casinos?

Thanks.

Depends on what you find interesting.

The Museum of Macau. Eat interesting food. Do the world's longest bungy jump. Stand at the top of the world's 10th tallest free-standing tower by climbing 100 meters up the mast's vertical ladders.

Great city to walk. Start at Largo do Senado, then walk through the old city to St. Paul's. Interesting colonial architecture. Grab a cab to A-Ma temple, then walk up to Restaurante Litoral for Macanese food. There's also an interesting barricks near the temple, but I can't recall the name.

The city is wonderful for just wandering around. I only made it to Macau after four visits to Hong Kong. Wish I had done it earlier.

Don't forget to collect Cathay/Asia Miles for a r/t airport ferry to/from HK and Macau. You must show your Asia Miles card when you purchase your ticket.

Excellent link!

I can see it is a very nice walking city. Also, part of the city is a World Heritage Site, and that completely convinced me. I have a little hobby, going to their sites. Frankly, it is a good indication that the place is quite special.

Thanks tremendously for the excellent advice.

Is the Macau ferry the same as the one going to Zhongshan?

They are separate ferries - the Macau ferry simply goes to Macau.

BTW, what does one mean by "Macau Ferry"?

That term is often used here and other travel board to describe the ferry pier in Sheung Wan, HK Island where the Turbojet HK-Macau service uses. But that pier is not limited to that. It also serves some ferries to various parts of China, as well as the helicopter service to Macau.

Well, I could have been more precise. I understand Macau Ferry (not Macau ferry pier) as the ferry to Macau, be it from Sheung Wan or Tsim Sha Tsui.
And that is how I understood pairolis question: Does the ferry to Macau go ther straight and terminate there or does the same ferry server another destination. In his case he might have heard of Zhuhai and Zhongshan and mixed the two together, I believe.

You can take the ferry to Zhongshan from both the China Ferry Terminal on Canton Rd in Kowloon (more frequent), and Macau Ferry Terminal (less frequent) in Sheung Wan on Hong Kong Island.
