Prada!

My son's prom is coming up, and I want to dress him in my favorite label, so I need to know which Prada outlets in Hong Kong carry suits. Anyone have any idea?

PS: The one in IFC doesn't, if my memory serves me.

The wife of one of my business partners dresses him (e.g. buys him clothes). She bought him a pair of Prada shoes that were so intensely ugly that to this day he has yet to regain the respect of his partners and all his employees.

But if you insist, you can try the Prada store at the corner of Chater and Ice House. But if you really want the full goods, you need to go to Tokyo to the Prada H&deM building in Omotesando.

Hah. If not Prada, what do you suggest for formal wear?

Er, a Prada suit costs less than renting a Tux? I think not... Renting a tux is perhaps HK$6-800.

There's 'Prada' at Ladies Market but I don't recall seeing any dinner suits but if there were this may be cheaper than renting!

You might try the one at Pacific Place.

Yes I know. It's called sarcasm.

That one's also pretty tiny, but okay.

There is a Prada factory outlet called Space. It is located at this place called Aep Lei Chou (not sure if this is the correct spelling) which is linked to Joyce boutique. Best bet is to take a taxi and asked to be taken to 2/F, South Horizons Plaza (East Wing) in Aep Lei Chou. Phone: 2814 9576. It is a bit of a hit and miss, sometimes you get wonderful stuff, sometimes there's nothing.

The PRADA outlet at South Horizons Plaza is nice, but I do not recommend it if you are looking for something specific, cuz there are only limited items they carry at a point in time, as wlock commented.

The biggest PRADA shop in Hong Kong is the one at Alexandra House in Central. They also have a pretty big shop at Lee Garden, Causeway Bay.

I think if you look closely the label actually says "Pravda" (and that's the truth).
