the other side can mind their own business on the otger side. it would be grossly insensitive to call it the so-called “Chinese” new year if more than 60% of the population do not see themselves as Chinese .
thats like how in japan its called south shina sea 南シナ海and senkaku islands.
the dimsum/ yumcha event is held in hong kong.

thats because picking english over french would be culturally insensitive

IIRC during my travels around SE Asia (Vietnam and Philippines specific):

The South China Sea = East Vietnam Sea = West Philippines Sea.
