HK hostels

I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions on HK hostels that aren't in Chungking?
Cheers
Howie

Moving to the Hong Kong and Macau Forum for better input.

If you still want the Tsim Sha Tsui neighborhood without staying in Chungking Mansions, Mirador Mansions is a couple of blocks north of it on Nathan Rd. It's basically Chungking very lite, but the location is still good.

My least favorite part of that area, besides the smoking, is the presence of touts- offering watches, food, rooms, and later in the day, drugs- so I always walk on streets parallel to Nathan Rd.

Have you stayed at any of the Causeway Bay hostels on Paterson St.? Every time I walked by, there were notices warning of illegal accommodations. Haven't even seen those in Chungking/Mirador Mansions...in a long time.

It's not really a hostel but when I booked it it was extremely cheap from wotif.
Excellent location! Walkable distance from Central and lan Kwai Fong and super close to a train station.
But it's only a place to sleep and head out. Not a place to hang in.
