I stayed in an "Evolution Suite" in TPA last weekend; and for me, at least, it was a two room (kind of Embassy Suite-ish) style room, except there was no door in between the two rooms. There was a work desk, sofa, chair, and TV in the front part of the room and then a TV with the bed in the back of the "suite." All-in-all, it was a pleasant stay.

I am staying at the HGI Oldsmar and am in the E Suite. Very comfortable.

The HGI in Oldsmar is where I stayed, as well. I got the room on the second floor next to the meeting room -- Room 205, IIRC.

Any HGI room/suite type that is in the "Evolution" category includes a great feature which is what they call a sleep system bed. It has a control that allows you to adjust the firmness/softness of the mattress. Its a very comfortable bed even more so that the beds in the standard rooms. Also, the rooms (in most cases) have HDTV flat panel televisions.

A "Sleep Number" type of a bed?? Wow...I wasn't aware of that. I'll have to look more closely for some sort of softness/firmness control next time! Thanks for the tip!

Yup. The HGI in Manchester, NH evolution rooms have the adjustable bed and a HD flat panel set-up. Nice rooms.

I stayed at the very new HGI in Yakima WA recently and they had the adjustable bed. There was a card on the night stand with instructions. The control was under a flap on the side of the mattress. Not very convenient. I also didn't notice much of a change when I adjusted the control. Of course, I'm a bit spoiled since my GF has a sleep number bed which responds immediately to setting changes and is very comfy.

The Garden Sleep System mattress is not like the Sleep Number bed. I am not even sure if is air driven. By my experience with this bed has not been good. I stayed at the NYC Chelsea 3x over last couple weeks and I never had a good night's sleep (even on a night when i took a Tylenol PM pill).

The mattress is not like an ordinary mattress as it does not breathe very well. Is almost like sleeping on hard foam and i feel like being suffocated and have to roll over several times during the night. The adjustments do work but only the center of the mattress is affected. I am a side sleeper so that may be why. I see their ads had a back sleeper.

Anyway - thats just my 2c. I hope others have better experience.

Since I started this thread in February, I've spent about 180 nights in a King Evolution Suite.

All in all, outstanding. Jacuzzi hot tub. Two separate rooms. Two plasma tvs. At end of floor, so no neighbor or elevator noise.

Living in a hotel sucks, but this was a very nice room.
