Receiving Elevated Status Early
Is anyone aware of instances where the traveler received elevated status ( silver to gold or gold to diamond) before reaching the state threshold numbers? Last week my status changed from Silver to Gold, but my YTD stays were 8 and my hights were only 26. Was I just lucky, or were there other factors brought into the equation?

It happened to me and others have reported the same.
Hilton recognizes that you are on the path to gold so they give out the recognition early. They didn't, however, give out Diamond ahead of time. Enjoy it, especially if you are frequently hotels with executive lounges.
