Missing nights solution

Not having nights and points registered is a semi common occurance for me.

The solution for me has always been semi smooth emailing [email protected] with my diamond number and confirmation number and it has been fixed after a couple of days.

This time I got a reply after 1 week asking me for 8 different verification question just to get the process started. And I have not heard anything back for another week.

So my question is: Does anyone have a better solution for getting nights and points credited when they are missing after a stay?

I am finding real issues with the posting of stays/nights for some properties when doing day stays. Because of the way that the properties sometimes process these stays (effectively treating it as overnight) it can overlap and thus not correctly update the count.

Using the online form is very difficult to resolve this as it's not typically clear which stay is the offending one and needs to be corrected. Any tips here? Or do freeform queries at X or email pick this up better?

I had an issue last month with consecutive stays posting properly (only got $/night credit for the final one). First tried reaching out to the property via email, and I don't think they understood what I was asking or their system showed something different than what the app showed. Reached out to HIltonHonors@, and after a little bit of back and forth with the offshore team they were able to resolve the issue once we established what they were seeing was not what I was seeing.

A couple of years ago, in Baltimore, I stayed in a Hampton Inn and a Hilton Garden Inn, that were in the same building.
I couldn't get them to agree they were different stays.
I gave up.
