Free Night Cert and 5th Night Free

To get the free 5th night I know I need to pay for the whole reservation with points, if I use a free night cert for one of those nights, does that count?

Not as part of the 5 nights on points, it can be used to add a sixth night

Let's say for a 5N stay (95K standard room):
pay with points: 4*95K = 380K
points + FN: 380K/5 = 76K per night, so you pay 1 FN plus 380K-76K = 304K pts

Incorrect, but it's not a published benefit. You must call Honors.

Yes, this is how it works... Basically you are reducing the value of your free night certificate.

From Hilton t&c:

Reward Certificate may not be combined with other certificates, discounts, packages or promotional offers, or Hotel Reward stays beyond Standard Room Rewards, unless otherwise specified in writing by Hilton Honors.

Any advice on how to book this? I have 3 free night certs and when I called to book a 5 night stay they said I couldn't do it.

No way to do it if you’re trying to get a 5th Night Free.

Mixed reports on this… that’s why you are getting yes and no responses. If it does work you basically get 20% off and another 20% off. 95k for 5 nights = 475,000. 20% off = 380,000 and 20% off of that is 304,000.
The key takeaway is you have to call and get an agent that knows how to do it.

That is a very bad use of 3 certificates unless your stay absolutely must be 5 nights long.

For a 5 night stay (95K standard room):
pay with points: 4*95K = 380K
points = 76K per night, so you pay 3 FN certs plus 76K x 2 = 152Kpts. Instead of paying 190K for the 2 points nights, you would pay 152K, a savings of only 38K. (not even close to fifth night free)
