Yes, this is how it works... Basically you are reducing the value of your free night certificate.

Mixed reports on this… that’s why you are getting yes and no responses. If it does work you basically get 20% off and another 20% off. 95k for 5 nights = 475,000. 20% off = 380,000 and 20% off of that is 304,000.
The key takeaway is you have to call and get an agent that knows how to do it.

For a 5 night stay (95K standard room):
pay with points: 4*95K = 380K
points = 76K per night, so you pay 3 FN certs plus 76K x 2 = 152Kpts. Instead of paying 190K for the 2 points nights, you would pay 152K, a savings of only 38K. (not even close to fifth night free)
