Hilton Honors 4th quarter 2020 - Double Rewards Promo (09/08-12/31)

Hilton have published details of their new promo: https://hiltonhonors3.hilton.com/en/...faq/index.html

The most significant thing is that it gives double elite night credits, as well as double points.

The extra EQNs count for milestone bonuses and rollover.

Hopefully they also add to the lifetime nights counter!

And they need to fix their Q&A section to have the Qs match the As:

Will I earn Bonus Points for Reward Stays with the “Points Unlimited” promotion?
Yes – members are eligible to earn Hilton Honors Bonus Points on paid portions of reward stays with the “Double Rewards” promotion, including incidental charges.

How very imaginative of Hilton.

Do we get double points then? A one night stay will register as two nights and points will reflect one night or the promo two nights?

You'll get bonus points equal to the base points (the usual 10 points per dollar excluding taxes).

With the diamond bonus and the Aspire earn, that's 44 points per dollar.

As status is carried over is there any point to this if you are Diamond?

Just trying to see the advantages.

Assume the extra qualifying nights will also carry over into 2021 and count towards earning status for 2022?

I am targeting Diamond with stays this year, any past experience if the stays will be doubled up as well as nights?
I will be at 20 stays for 20 nights by the time this promo starts, so easier to do 10 stays than 20 doubled-up nights to reach Diamond

The double nights count towards milestone bonuses so that is effectively up to 1000 extra bonus points per night.

Great way to think about it, just remember to do the full five nights. If you do four nights, you get 0 from the milestone

It ends up being a bit more than 44x since you get 14x on the taxes and fees with the Aspire.

EDIT: IMO this is a great move by Hilton, with their rollover nights they really incentivize everyone to stay with them, even if you're already diamond via the Aspire. They give at least 10k points every 10 nights starting at 40 (40k for 60 nights) so there's not point of diminishing returns. I wish Marriott would take note, their promos are usually trash and there's no incentive to go past Platinum/Titanium if you can't hit the next tier level.
