Suite Upgrade Changes?

I know it's typically up to the hotel itself, which is mentioned in here, but didn't see this posted yet and wanted to see if anyone had heard of this... Actual downgrade or just up to hotel discretion as always?

Ehh, seems like a bunch of nothing to me, best I can tell. The actual terms (https://www.hilton.com/en/hilton-honors/terms/) still say suites; I'm guessing that the language change in the matrix / overview page was a marketing thing with language that didn't quite come out right. Anything is possible, I suppose, but this would be a really strange time to be cutting elite benefits...lots of empty suites for the foreseeable future.

I agree. Very strange time to make a change like that, but perhaps some folks at Hilton HQ don't have enough to do right now.

I've seen the benefits list that is shown in that article at a number of hotels. I'm sure staff will notice that it no longer covers suites. In terms of comparing one Diamond to another, the long story of who gets suites and who doesn't; nothing has stopped properties saying they're full before!

Just as an FYI, there has been no change to the prior upgrade policies that were in place. The language that made it seem so has been updated. Our apologies for any inconvenience in the interim.

Best regards,
