If you have kids- a smaller size casita closer to the family and kid pools are better than the larger villas that are a hike away at the vet back of the property

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregel

Hadn't seen any mention here of this news:

Sounds like a very interesting place. Previous operation was a 5 star facility, sounds truly top flight, but only 115 rooms.

Do you have an idea when booking might be available?

Thanks,

Will Reward Points be accepted here

When searching for WA hotels in MX, Pedregal is listed - but indicates it is not accepting reward points. Has this been verified. Sounds like a great hotel.

Prices now loaded. Looks a fair bit higher prices via Hilton, than the prices via the (still active) Pedegral Resort website. So if you want to book, then do so asap, before the old booking route closes!

No award rates loaded yet, but imagine they'll be soon.

Definitely true. Though swimming in Cabo is dangerous at most places, to be fair.

We'd been twice to Pedregal when it was a Capella. It's a wonderful hard product.

Ah, yes it is. Have you seen the website or any of the reviews of its former incarnation as the Capella Pedregal Resort or the Resort at Pedregal?

I've checked several times with hhonors, who have checked with the front desk regarding point stays. No date was available as far as when point rooms will be loaded into the system. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Hilton and the property are going back and forth about point value (95k vs 120k).

I’d imagine this will become the most popular aspirational property in the entire WA/Hilton portfolio, both due to its incredible hard product (we will have to wait and see if WA can replicate its soft product excellence) and its proximity to and common resort destination for the USA.

The WA Maldives will be the second or tied with this for most aspirational. This one is just so much closer to the USA and the bulk of Hilton elites.
