Good Day All,
I have an upcoming stay in Columbus, GA. I was looking at the Doubletree, can anyone provide any recent info on this hotel?
Thanks,

Stay Report - 3/17 to 3/18
Location: The hotel is located off Exit 8 of I-185 (Airport Thruway) on the west side of the small Columbus Airport (CSG). It's in a strip mall along with an Office Depot, Big Lots and a couple of fast food restaurants. Across Airport Thruway are a few more fast food joints. Its proximity to both GA-1 and I-185 make it really easy to get to other places from though a left turn out of the lot can be difficult during rush hour.

Hotel: The hotel is definitely older though not aging poorly I'm happy to say. There's an attached restaurant and bar called Houlihan's which I believe is a chain, business center, pantry and a nice sized outdoor pool. Do note that for the five story hotel there are only two elevators so there can be waits. There is plenty of free parking and I'm happy to say, Diamond spots up front.

Check In: A very helpful agent thanked me for being Diamond, offered me cookies and water and explained how breakfast would work. Staff here were all very friendly and helpful.
Room: A little dreary as the room is painted dark colors and the lighting doesn't so much but otherwise fine. Nice to have a desk and separate chair and while the bathroom was small the shower was recently renovated and very good. Wifi worked well as well and there were outlets next to the bed.

Breakfast: Typically a buffet but with COVID it was order anything off the menu. I had a decent lox bagel. Service was very good here too.
This is one of only two full service hotels in Columbus and I was very happy staying here. I'd be back.
